How best to grow, prepare and display your fruit, flowers and vegetables for exhibition. A talk by John Trim fnvs.

Our AGM takes place on Monday 13th April at St John’s Chapel in Furlong Road. It will be followed by a free talk for gardeners club members by John Trim. This will be especially useful as we enter a new show season. Non members can pay £5 at the door to join the club and attend the talk.

John is a former head gardener and horticultural lecturer. A designer and builder of two Chelsea Flower Show Gardens and the author of the best selling book for vegetable exhibitors called ‘The Root to the Top’.

Currently a member of the vegetable trials team at RHS Wisley. He is also a senior judge with the National Vegetable Society and an RHS fruit judge.

He was also a judge on the BBC 1 TV programme ‘The Great British Village Show’ presented by Alan Titchmarsh which aired on Sunday evenings during 2007.

John has also written content for the cookbooks of James Martin the well known celebrity chef. Plus articles for gardening magazines and allotment.org
